Let's just be honest....

I am a sloth who is doing no excerise at all and am starting to feel just gross.

Which got me thinking...how many of us excercise at least 3 times a week?

If you do, what do you do?

I was thinking of looking for some prenatal Yoga classes....any suggestions?

Re: Let's just be honest....

The only thing I do is walk everyday.

If I am not feeling lazy, I will do some arm exercises with 5lb dumbells but not because I care to shape up.. I am worried that I won't be able to lift the baby once he gains more weight since I have weak arms. Chat Icon

Re: Let's just be honest....

I teach dance 4 days a week, so I guess that's counts as some form of excercise. But I haven't stepped foot in the gym or gone for a legitimate walk in about 3 months. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I lift 24 pounds up about 10 times a day.

I should have the forearms of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Chat Icon

other then that, we have a mommy and me class once a week that we run around at. but nothing other then that.

i play on the floor with her so I guess that counts.

I count walking the dog as my sole form of exercise now. I am too tired for anything else.

I was a complete and utter gym rat before i got pregnant. I tried going to the gym like 4x these last 9 mons but stopped mainly bc i just wanted a break from it after all these yrs.

plus, when i workout, i workout hard and i felt i couldnt do what i used to so i was REALLY bored

Re: Let's just be honest....

I have to be honest... I used to exercise a LOT more before I got pregnant. Chat Icon I am just sooooo exhausted, I can't bring myself to do anything. I really don't want to strain myself at all during this first trimester either.

I do want to start power walking tho (just like I did in the good old days) as soon as this exhaustion passes. That's the PLAN at least!!

I was in good shape before my bfp by working out 4-5x a week so I TRY to work out 3x a week at least. The last month has been rough because I've been busy every night after work. But when I do go, I do about 20-30 mins of cardio (elliptical) and then some weights on my arms and some step work for my legs. I also have a wii fit that i'll do at night if I have the energy.

I used to walk 4/5 days a week up until 29 weeks when I was put on bed rest for 2 1/2 days. I feel alot of pressure and can't be on my feet as much so I've become a couch potato. Chat Icon

I was also a gym rat before I got my BFP. I went to the gym 3xs a week after by BFP up until about 30 weeks. Now at 35 weeks, I get so tired from the gym and all I do is walk on the treadmill on an incline. Plus, Im so tired from not sleeping during the night I cant find the energy to bring myself there as often.

Re: Let's just be honest....

I try to walk for an hour a few times a week (I also have to walk to get anywhere since we live in a city with no car, but I mean a full-out high paced walk 3 times a week) and I do prenatal pilates once a week at this point. I'm 37 weeks and hoping I can keep it up for the next 3 weeks!!

I haven't done prenatal yoga but I hear it's fantastic and I LOVE the pilates, I think it's helping me a lot.

Once you get into a routine it does get easier.

ETA: I def don't exercise like I did before, this is about all I can handle now!!

Re: Let's just be honest....

I walk, I planned to walk 3 times a week for 45 minutes, but .... honestly its more like once a week with DH, and we often end up at a restaurant after our walk.

I also use my wii fit, boxing and step exercises keep me interested, but its sporadic. I feel out of breath a lot lately so I just end up plopping on the sofa.

Re: Let's just be honest....

I have been so incredibly tired it takes everything I have just to make it through the day. I keep planning on going to the gym 3 mornings a week but I am taking it easy for now. I hope I will get that burst of energy soon so I can get back to normal.

Re: Let's just be honest....

I went to the gym 6 days a week before BFP.

I had some spotting in the beginning so the Dr. told me to take it easy. I went back but, I never felt good afterwards so I stopped going - and I'm paying for it now!

I can't wait to head back after the baby is born.

I do walk a couple of miles a day as part of my commute and I do try to walk on the weekends as well
