oh, we have an extra 'holiday' inserted between now and then.... DH's dissertation defense is 5/1. His family is coming to school to watch it, and then I have to have about 10 people for dinner... on a FRIDAY 
Tons to do. I'm looking forward to mothers day... it will be my first  I requested fudgy the whale with extra crunchies (cuz' I'm gourmet like that ).... Usually, on mothers day weekend, DH and I go to mom's house and plant all the flowers in her yard..... so we'll likely do that on the sat before....

We will be hosting a BBQ- we did it last year for my 1st Mother's Day, so we are going to make it a yearly tradition.
Doing the same & hope to continue that tradition as well!!!
It will be my parents, inlaws, my 4 siblings (I HOPE all of them) & some of the significant others, my little niece, grandma & uncle.

I have no idea what Mother's Day will bring. My mother passed away just last year before the last Mother's Day and it was very hard on me. I was with DH and his family, but it wasn't as joyous as it should have been even though I was to be a mother myself.
Now this year is my first Mother's Day, and I just want to be with Abby. I don't want to share her that day, but that'll never happen. DH's mother deserves to be with her children. It's going to be another case of "suck it up and deal" for me. I am hoping we can do something early in the day with his family and have the evening to ourselves.

Mother's Day usually gets lost in the shuffle because my 2 kids have b-day that week, and it's our wedding anniversary around that time! At least with all the celebrating, we do see our moms to celebrate with them, but for me, nothing special is done and I am ok with that!

We are staying home this year. Last year we went into the city but after the way DS behaved on Easter I am not going anywhere. We are going to my niece's communion the day before though.

I believe we are going out with BIL and SIL (Missa) to the Milleridge for Brunch. We will see if MIL wants to join us - if not, DH can meet up with her later that night. We will then go out to dinner with my family.

The same thing we do every year. Go to the cemetery & plant flowers on my parents & grandparents grave. (My way of honoring my Mother & Nana on the day)
Then out to eat wherever. nothing fancy.

We usually go out to brunch or something with my parents, I'm sure MIL will join this year, my sister and nephews, maybe my great aunt and uncle (they did last year)
