Let's recommend our favorite books for infants!
I already see how much Riley enjoys the Foot Book. So funny, because that was my nephew's book too. She also loves the Caterpillar's Wish, which my dear friend Kristen gave her (thanks Kris ).
I was reading Jazz Baby to her last night...I absolutely adore it. If you read it with a bit of rhythm, like a song, it is so much fun to read and SO cute!! So that's my recommendation!
I'd love to hear yours...I'm always looking for more! Especially the books that your DCs can't live without...
TIA!

he got a book with alot of Classics and was horrified when i read some of these storied... there was Ferdinand which the bull gets tortured with hot pokers to make him angry, and Madeline which she gets deathly ill.... so we read those once and decided to put the book away

DD's favorites have changed over time. She used to be all about Moo, baa, la, la, la. Then she liked Goodnight Moon. Then Green Eggs & Ham, and Cat in the Hat. Lately it's been Put Me in the Zoo and Ten Apples Up On Top.

DD LOVES all the Sandra Boynton books. She has about 10 but her favorites are Barnyard Dance and Pajama Time. We just got one called Your Personal Penguin which has a song you can download to go along with it. We sing along and get very silly. She also loves the "Little..." series of finger puppet books (Little Kitten, Little Puppy, etc) because she can play with the puppet while you read. Some are better than others but they all rhyme so you can read them in a sing-song kind of way.

Welcome!!!
When Emerson was Riley's age she LOVED "Where is Baby's Belly Button" by Karen Katz. She loved books with vibrant colors and pictures. As she got a little older though she started really getting into Touch and Feel books. Those are her favorite. She loves "Rainbow Rob", "Biscuits Pet and Play Halloween", and the Scholastic Touch and Feel Color books. I also read her books from the "Snappy Sounds" collection - LOVES those!! They are Pop-Up books with sound on every page. They are great!
For actual reading the story books she likes Dr. Seuss (the rhyming is always fun) and "Bug Babies" by Charles Reasoner - we bought it in BJ's. I also have picture books of common kiddie songs like "10 in the Bed", "The Ants Go Marching", "10 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" etc. She LOVES those!!
She will be a well read kid having a teacher for a mom - I have a gazillion childrens books. I LOVE reading to her and she LOVES books already!! Next time her and Riley hang we'll have story time!!!
