Please recommend your children's favorite books!
My SIL's shower is this month and I'd like to get her a collection of books from toddler through kindergarten maybe... Classics like Little Golden Books, Little Miss/Mr, nursery rhymes, etc..
Can you please recommend some books?
Thanks!

I agree with Eric Carle, we already have the whole collection for DS. I also like anything by Dr. Suess, and the book "The Kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn.

Re: Please recommend your children's favorite books!
Ben is 14 mos and is a huge fan of Dr. Seuss and Sandra Boynton. His favorite's include There's a Wocket In My Pocket, Mr. Brown Can Moo (or something like that) and What's Wrong Little Pookie. There's also a book called "I Love You Through and Through", not sure of the author but I can look when I get home. He also likes books that have touch and feel aspects to them. We got him board books for now because he usually tries to tear the pages out of regular books.
For when he's older, I have collections from Disney, Beatrix Potter, Grimm, and classics like Charlotte's Web and the like.

Goodnight moon is currently one of DS's favorite books. He loves books in general but Goodnight moon is a very popular one.

Re: Please recommend your children's favorite books!
DS is now almost 17 months, but an avid reader. Up till this point his favorite books have been:
Popular ones: I love you through and through Goodnight Moon Curious George Goes Fishing Spin A Song books
No name books: I got a cheapo farm animal book and it's now one of his favorites to point out animals and make their sounds. I got him a colors book and has like 6 items of each color on a page. He still doesn't get the colors, but he likes to point at all the things on the pages when I ask him where they are. Basically, any book with lots of stuff on the page we can point out and talk about. When he was younger, he liked the sing-song books like Frosty the snowman or Here Comes Peter Cottontail.
My Favorites: Where The Wild Things Are Tikki Tikki Tembo The Giving Tree Guess How Much I Love You The Rainbow Fish
ETA I also like the Bunnies Are Not In Their Beds
