Lets say you are in Las Vegas and you find an Ipod on the bench what do you do?
Do you keep it?
I am watching Dateline.
I would like to say I would turn into security if it was in a mall but if it was on a street corner on a bench Im afraid I might keep it.

I just want to clarify that I assumed a bench would be located outdoors, like out on the street.
But I guess if it were inside a casino or hotel, I would probably take it to the front desk or such

They left the ipod on a garbage can on freemont street. If I found I'd keep it.
They had people taking it of a car totally different then finding it on a garbage can on the strret!

Yep yep. My friend was over, and we happened to watch the show, and we were saying, that if it was in the car we would never take it, but if its in the park or something, we would.
ETA- I wouldn't want an ipod though, I also have one that I don't use, so it would be a waste.

not sure. depends where it is.
i found a nice cell in vegas once. called someone in the phone. they called me back ... aparaently i "sounded hot" and they wanted to "party" with me... which made me mad i went through so much trouble.
but i did the right thing

I would probably take it, but feel bad for the person who left it there. If I didn't take it, the next person who wcomes along would. If it was inside a casino, I would definately turn it into the lost & found. Its just an ipod. I have one already so it wouldn't be too much of a for me.
However, if I found a stack of $$$.. that would be a different story.

In our apt complex, people leave things outside the dumpsters for others to take if they're interested. If I saw it ON a garbage can, I would think it is the same sort of thing. I don't think I would take it, though. Just sort of because I'm lazy, and you don't know where the ipod has been...
