I think the show was a little unfair in that they treated every situation the same. IMO, there is a difference between taking an IPod from A CAR versus taking one that's lying by itself, not even in a bag, on a table in MacDonald's with no one around to indicate that it could possibly belong to someone.

Outside on a beach- I'd keep it! I look around to see if anyone was looking around for it and I saw that I would give it to them.
ETA: Opps! I thought you said beach not bench

If it was on a bench IN a casino, I'd bring it to security or lost and found and what not. If it was outside on the bench, sorry, but JACKPOT!
