ugh... as a lawyer who acknowleges that lawyers are NOT infallible, i have a very hard time leaving the fate of a life/death sentence in the hands of a judge/jury/the legal system. there is always a chance that it could be an incorrect guilty verdict, and as small as that chance may be, even just one person getting sentenced to death by mistake doesn't sit well with me.
hmm good thing i'm not a criminal prosecutor.

I am anti-abortion (I don't use pro-life for this reason) and very much for the death penalty.

For me and only when I think of it all in the detached sense:
Pro life and against the death penalty.
I just don't think it is my place to end a life, I leave that to another.
However, come after me and my family and I am sure that would be tested and I would probably kill you will my own hands. When I read of horrible things people do to others, it rattles me. But I don't know if I could ever make a decision/choice to end a life. I just feel unworthy to condemn anyone to death.
wow!!!! basically everything I was going to write. Only thing I wanted to add was pro-life but in certain situations I can see the need for other options.
so basically I guess i am double standard on everything.

I'm against it b/c I have seen too many ABC specials about men who spend 20 or 30 or whatever amount of years in jail and then are proven innocent.
