Level 2 nipples
My once good sleeper decided to start waking in the middle of the night for feedings again. She's 4 1/2 months and I was still using the Dr. Brown's level 1 nipple. She was starting to play with her bottle too much and honestly at 3am it was taking too long so I switched her to Level 2.
Well with the new nipple her bottles take under 10 minutes. She's not choking and none is dripping out of her mouth. Is that ok? It seemed SOOOO fast.

Re: Level 2 nipples
I think it is OK- DD takes her bottle (she's on the level 3 nipples) in about 8-10 minutes as well.

Re: Level 2 nipples
Sounds okay. I changed the nipples to level 2 at 3 months and to level 3 at 6 months. He was fussy and taking longer with the bottles, that's when I knew I should switch.

Re: Level 2 nipples
Ryan was always a fast drinker, and even more so when I switched to Level 2's. AS long as she is not coughing or choking, its ok.

Re: Level 2 nipples
I just switched DS to level three this week. He was using the level ones and he is 6 months. He always gave me trouble with the bottles and it never dawned on me to change the nipple for a better flow. The first bottle I gave him he drank in 5 minutes. Now he slowed down a bit.

Re: Level 2 nipples
we switched to level 2 at 3 months, because it was taking them to long to finish and they were falling asleep in the middle. About a week ago we switched again to Level 3, for the same reason they will be 6 months next week.

Re: Level 2 nipples
Sounds right. We just switched to level 3 because she was getting frustrated with level 2's. She has always been a fast eater, less than 10 minutes. Maybe that's why she spits up so much but she's not in any pain so I let her eat at her pace.

Re: Level 2 nipples
We switched DD from Level 1 or Level 2's at 3 1/2 months. She went from taking 45 minutes to drink a bottle to about 15-20! I was shocked. And scared at first thinking she'd choke or spit up, but she didn't do either and is fine.
