Liberty Science Center questions

We are going on Monday and have a 3 questions.

--Is it usually crazy busy with school trips on a Monday?

--How long can we spend there? DD is almost 4. Should I try and squeeze in a stop at the CP Zoo or Brooklyn Aquarium on the way home or can we spend the day there?

--Is there an outdoor play area at LSC or near by?

Tx!

Re: Liberty Science Center questions

Not sure about Monday school trips. I would think it won't be too bad on Mondays. I took the boys over winter break. We got there when it opened and got crowded later on. We stayed till after lunch so 3 - 4 hours is perfect. Check out their schedule of shows or programs they have for the kids. You can also get your tickets online so to save time and skip the line.
Nothing outside to play there, but we're in NJ and LOVE taking the kids to Hoboken to the playground there. If it's nice out you can walk the pier, see the city skyline and let the kids play on the new pier they built. It's awesome. I lived in Hoboken for years in my 20's so love going back to visit. Even eat outside there.
Since I'm in NJ I can't answer your other questions, but if there's time then go ahead and stop somewhere else. Depends on your kid. I know when we do a loooong activity for a day they are done and usually pass out in the car on the way back. That's why I mentioned Hoboken bc it's right there.

Tx, was hoping Monday was not a popular school trip day. Figured teachers wouldn't be up for that, LOL.
If we get there early enough then I think we will hit Prospect Park Zoo on the way home as it's the closest on the way back. Not really looking to go into Hoboken and then have to deal with all of the commuter traffic but sounds like a nice place to try and visit this summer.
