Life Insurance quotes.
I know SOME of you out there will have some experience getting term life insurance. It's been something that's on my mind for a while now, and I figure if I can swing it, I need to get a policy for myself and my wife for "just in case", especially since we have a gaggle of children.
Anyway, I know I have the option of going through any of my current agents. But I guess my question is - is there a difference between company A and company B in general when it comes to life insurance? Is it just as good to go through some online site that "compares" rates and pick the cheapest one, or would I end up screwing myself over in the event that something bad happens?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Life Insurance quotes.
I don't know about differences between companies, but a quote from any company is so personalized - there are so many factors that go into a quote, such as age, overall health, weight, occupation, and amount of coverage, just to name a few. A quote given to one person cannot help you determine how much it would cost for you. But, it is something you should definitely get, especially if you have kids (I know that it allowed my mother to keep our home after my father passed away when I was a young kid).

Re: Life Insurance quotes.
There can be a huge difference between policy features, terms and prices when it comes to life insurance quotes. For instance, you can get a cheap life insurance quote from a company rated low by AM Best (industry standard for life insurance company financial strength rating) but that means you're compromising and putting your money on a possibly unsafe bet with an unstable company. As for buying from an aggregator website that compares quotes from multiple carriers, you're right. There's a huge difference between getting a quote and getting your rating after doing the medical examination. But it's a free service that doesn't cost you much to compare, and comes close enough to the actual rating if you are young and in good health. Health complications can throw quotes way off. Quote engines are a surefire way of saving money for young families looking for term life insurance solutions. You've definitely made the right decision to buy one when you have a young family, however you choose to buy a policy, don't delay your purchase!
