light headed n hot

i had to leave work today b/c i felt like i was going to pass out.

the a/c has been working on/off on our side of teh wing (brand new school - mind you) and of course, it wasn't working on our side today. they had people working on it, but still very hot in my room. after lunch, i got the kids ready for recess and as they're lining up, i began to feel really hot then light headed. i walked to the fridge, got some water and thoguht that would help - it didn't. i called for the guidance counselor to watch the class and the principal thought it would be better to go home and split my kids. it's only our 13th day and i still need to get them where i want them to be before i go out on maternity leave...ughh...anyway called the doc and he said that it could be the heat (fl weather) or the baby laying on my vena cava. either way, i should lay down on my side put a damp cloth on my head and rest. so...now im home...

very scary, but thankfully i think it'll be ok. i hate leaving my kids when its still early in the year but the most important thing right now is me n so i'll do what doc says.

thanks ladies...just woke up from a nap and feeling better. i guess i'm gonna take a fan w/me to work iin case the air goes out again...no control over where the baby lies...

The same thing happended to me...I called the doctor and they said that when your pregnant, you body does not adjust to the temp. change as quickly as it normally would. I went from the office which was very air conditioned to the outside which was really hot and thought I was going to faint and got really dizzy....I layed down for a while and felt better.... Take care of yourself....

The same thing happened to me while I was taking my kids to church (I worked in a catholic school). I almost passed out right there in the pews. My principal sent me home for the day.
