Lindenhurst question
I have heard about Venetian Shores and I took a drive over there about a month ago to see what it was like. It looks very nice but do people go swimming in the ocean over there? It would be nice to have a beach that close to home. And how is the little kid water park? TIA

I lived in Lindenhurst for a couple of years, I did lay out on the beach, but I never remember actually going in the water. It is nice to have it down the block.

People do swim in there but there tends to be a lot of seaweed and rocks. The kids' waterpark is great though! They love it.

Sounds nice... as long as the water is as clean as the Jones Beach water (which actually isnt saying much) I am ok with it.

Are you talking about the Bay? If you are the Great South Bay water is no where near as clean as the Atlantic Ocean.

Not sure if its the bay or not.
Seaweed isnt too bad but I dont want to step down on any rocks (or worse things) and cut my feet.

It is on the Great South Bay. People do swim in it. I haven't done so in years though so I can't tell you how clean it is.

The water park is super cool. My son had the time of his life there last year and my daughter liked it too but I know she will love it now that shes a year older.
