Litte house on the Prarie Fans
DH and I love this show. I was just reading what tonight's episode is about since the show is on TV Land. It's about when Laura blames Dr. Baker for the death of her newborn baby boy.
When it comes to having boys this family is cursed. Caroline's baby boy died shortly after it was born. Mary's baby boy died shortly after the fire at the blind school and now Laura's baby boy. Why couldn't God let the women in this family give birth to baby boys and have them live? Geez!

I always say that Little House is just full of death and destruction! Do you notice how many episodes have soneone dying, someone going blind, etc. Lots of DOOM on the Prairie!

Yeah but I still love that show. I grew up watching that show...
What would you say is the worst episode? I say the one where Albert has that dream where he and Laura are Indians...
My favorite are the ones where Almanzo realizes he's in love with Laura, the one when he proposes to her.
I also like the episode where Laura got revenge on Nellie who was pretending to be injured and confined to a wheelchair.

DH loves the one with Ernest Borgnine in it. The one when Laura runs away after her baby brother dies.

That was a weird episode. It leaves us thinking "well did he die or not".

Re: Litte house on the Prarie Fans
I haven't thought about this show in years!
Remember the one where Laura finds all the "gold" in the river and it turns out to be iron pyrite?
Their family was always in debt too, right? Boy, they thrived on tragedy.
Remember Toby No?

Yes I remember that one. It was called "Fools Gold". I felt so bad for Laura. She had all those dreams of her family being rich and all. I did laugh at the part of the dream where the olesons where dressed in Rags...LOL
I remember Toby No as well...

Hmmm I sort of remember that one. Was she trying to impress some boy that she liked?
Laura looked very pretty when she would put her hair down. I don't understand why they had that girl in pigtails even in her early teen years.
Maybe that's why it took Almanzo a while to notice her because here she is a teenager and still sporting those braided pigtails.

No. The little girl had one leg shorter than the other and he attached wood to the bottom of one shoe so that both legs would be the same length. I always wondered if Pa was exactly like he was portrayed or this was the way he was seen through Laura's eyes. He was her hero and she adored him, so, I wonder if he was this way at all.

Re: Litte house on the Prarie Fans
Am I remembering something wrong, or did he almost have an affair with someone while he and Caroline were fighting? Like when he would go off somewhere to "get work"?

This was one of my favorite episodes - I loved this show growing up - I need to start catching the reruns on TVLand...
The one episode that freaked me out as a kid and still does is the one where Caroline tries to cut her leg off because she is delirious from the fever...that freaked me out when I saw it...
I also like the episode where Mary gets her new glasses...and she pretends to lose them because everyone is making fun of her...
ahhhh... this show makes me feel like I'm 6 again

I know these were not the shoes he made. It'd be pretty hard to make those shoes. I was just making a funny (or rather illustrating HollaGirl's funny).
