litter box and construction

We keep our litter box at the bottom of our basement stairs, but we have people coming in next week to sheetrock the basement. Should we move the litter box upstairs while that's going on, or will it be ok down there?

I would move it. Cats are finicky and people down in the basement, dust in it..... Cat might not use it.

While it's being worked on during the day can you put near the top of the stairs?
