Sorry - I just saw this now! We would have done a week's pay but she only has been with us for about 4 months so we are giving her about 1/2 a week's pay.

I gave our sitter(watches son daily) $100 in cash. She was thrilled!
But its different out here in LA- I think you spend more on childcare in NY and tips are bigger.
