Locked in Oil Rates?
Has anyone locked in a rate?
We are not locked in yet but our last rate in May was 4.59

We locked in for 3 yrs with Petro, in May. We got 5.47 cap, so it cannot go above that.If it goes lower we get the lower rate. I was like when I got the rate, but now I heard it is a lot higher. I hope the rates go down.

Really? I got quotes from both Slomins and Meenan. Slomins was the best at $4.69/gal.

I am scared, we locked in January and got a $3.53 rate which was a $1.10 increase over the year before...I almost don't want to even think about what it will be by then.

I guess we will all be eating a lot of soups and crockpot meals this winter, and lots of extra blankets. I hope the prices get better- I can only hope....

i didnt lock in, but i just did COD for $4.10 for 200 gallons! i thought that was pretty good.

They're called All Island Fuel. Turns out I didn't need 200 gallons, only 180, so my price was $4.17. Still not bad. if you pay cash for over 200 gallons it's $4.02.

The price changes at 190 gallons but once they hear the whistle thats it they have to stop pumping oil.

Me too! Heating Oil Futures were down again today. They are trading around $3.60/gallon. Hopefully, they will fall steadily.

I feel that once we have a new president that the price of oil should come down....I know this is about home oil but I cringe everytime I have to fill up my truck and lately they wont let you put more than 75.00 worth of gas if you use a credit/debit card.
75.00 doesnt even fill up my truck lol

We lockin in w/ Slomins for $3.99 in May. At the time, it made me sick. Now, I'm thankful we decided to do it. I can't even think about next year...

These rates are good. But if it is only good for 1 year, no?
We locked in for 3 yrs and if the rate goes down we get the lower rate.
It is very scary the oil prices !

WE locked in with PEtro for $4.79/gallon for 1 year. We are so upset aand sick b/c last yr were were $2.29!!!!!!!
