Oooh...creepy. Was that the first time that ever happened you?
Quick story here: I had a friend. We were so very, very close. He was my male best friend. We met my first semester of college. We looked hysterical together, and we were always attached at the hip. He (Charlie was his name) was over 6 1/2 feet tall, HUGE African American teddy bear. I am a 5'2" little Italian girl. Anyway...while jogging the day before my 20th birthday...2 days after Thanksgiving in 1993, Charlie passed away from a sudden heart attack. He was 26 years old. I have thought about Charlie ever since. I was destroyed after he passsed away, and I still think of him at least once a day over the past 13 years. Anyway, so one night, as I was falling asleep, I was thinking of Charlie. Then it spun into a dream. He was there, talking, but not making a sound. Just as I was going to hug him (in my dream), my house alarm went off. My DH and I checked the house, Slomin's called, police came. They said something disturbed one of the motion detectors in my house. We figured it was a short. Fast forward a few months (maybe a year) later. Again, dreaming of Charlie. Dreaming we were hanging out as usual. AGain, house alarm went off. This time...I KNEW it was him. This has happened a total of 3 times over the past 9 years that I'm living in my house. All three times it happened around 3 am. And it's ALWAYS when I'm dreaming about Charlie. It's scary when it happens, but then I am comforted. I am so glad to know he is still around.
So Lolita...I totally believe what you saw.
WOW!! i cant beleive it....and im so sorry for the loss of your friend....but it seems like he is definitely there in spirit

Re: Lolita...Inquiring minds want to know...
I totally believe you saw something! It happened to me in College. I woke up in the morning and I saw this old man wearing a train conductor's hat standing against my wall. He had this huge Grin, grey beard, and he was very dirty. I started to Yell. My friends who stayed over night (sleeping in the same room) woke up and asked what was wrong and for about 2 minutes I pointed to the Wall and yelled "Who are you?....Get out!" and then I realized that my friends did not see the image and I kept asking them...."don't you see him" and then he disappeared. My friends claim that I must of been asleep but I wasn't...I was awake in bed for a few minutes before I saw the image. Well, I later found out from my friend's mother that there was once a Railroad that ran through YEARS before my apt. complex went up.
Spooky!

And we wonder where the e-coli comes from!
I seriously just sent this around my office with the subject: Eat your vegetables!
Yeah, I'm crying now. Too funny!
