Long Island children's Museum Garden CIty
My DH and I are thinking about taking our DC there this weekend. I just checked out the website, but they do not give a lot of info about what they have inside the museum. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. TIA

From what I remember they have a big climbing this for the kids, a place to make giant bubbles, a music room, some arts and crafts were set up when we were there, a room to pretend you're doing the weather, a kitchen, grocery store...

AND A BLOCK AREA, TOUCH/FEEL SECTION, TODDLER AREA WITH SLIDE AND OTHER PLAY STUFF, MUSIC SECTION, SECTION TO SHOW HOW PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES ADAPT, AND A WATER PLAY AREA OUTSIDE THAT KIDS ACTUALLY RAN AROUND IN WATER SHOES OR BARE FEET AND NEEDED A CHANGE OF CLOTHES.

I went last year and thought it was okay, its really expensive for what it is IMO. But your local library might have free tickets that they lend out, but that doesn't include a show.

Re: Long Island children's Museum Garden CIty
We went two weeks ago. My older ds who is almost 2 had a good time. Running around to the diffferent exhibits and playing with things. It definately is a little pricey though.

Re: Long Island children's Museum Garden CIty
We plan on taking DS for his 2nd birthday next Wednesday since his party isn't until the 31st. We just took him to one in Richmond VA and it was $21.00 for the three of us. How much are the tickets here?

It is $10 for anyone age 1 and over - (under 65 is $9). I think you get $1 off if you are a AAA member. I was surprised that they start charging at 12 months.

Re: Long Island children's Museum Garden CIty
We became global members of the Brooklyn Children's museum, so if they accept reciprocal membership it should be free. I will call today to find out. Thanks for all your help!
