We have been having trouble finding a house for under $500,000 in the condition and areas we want!!!! I hate it!!!!

Wow, what are your "needs"???

We have very specific things we are looking for. Not interested in having to remodel anything or put money into any home that we purchase. With that comes cost and frustration.

Ok, its just I've seen homes in perfect condition in the upper 300's and low 400's.

I'm sure out east. we really want Hauppauge/Smithtown/Nescconset area.

We are buying a great house in Nesconset for mid 400s. You can find it!

Our house doesn't need work at all either! Just some paint!

this is the standard Brookfield (one of the more popular designs in the Smithtown, Kings Park, Nesconset, Hauppauge & some parts of Commack). Its an incrediable amount of living space and a really nice and area layout (great for entertaining). They seem to range in price from $479-$600ish. basic brookfield

I have a Brookfield colonial. I think mine is a bit larger than the picture you posted.

It's a great floor plan and every room is sizable.

You can see my home album to get some ideas. We have a four bedroom, 2.5 bathroom.

Love this show but I wish it was an hour long and they showed the finished house.
