That dress is gorgeous.
I do regret having a train. I never wanted one, got talked into getting one and DH stepped on the dress and broke the bustle 30 seconds after photos were taken. If I had to do it over, I would never have gotten the train.

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?
Not for a second. It was the second dress I tried on and I just KNEW the second I saw it. I had actually been looking for a dress just like it so I knew when I saw it that it was the "one".

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?
I LOVED my dress. It was the first one I tried on. I wasn't going to get it because it was strapless. (So not me) But, I fell in love with it immediately! I think you just know when its THE dress.

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?
Yes I regretted it. I wanted a halter top because that flattered me and instead I got a strapless that (IMO) did not flatter me as much..oh well.

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?
I think every dress will eventually look "dated" because of what styles are out there when you get married. Look at peoples wedding dresses from 10-15 years ago and you will laugh sometimes, headpieces were pretty goofy too. Good lord, people in the 70s were wearing hats...and Im sure lots of the brides thought it was an awesome look then.
Whatever the case, I think you should go with what you love now. Its a big event in your life but also a snapshot of your life at the moment. Once the wedding is over, it wont matter to you IMO. What will matter is how you felt that day. Go with what you will love in the present, not in regards to if you will look back and still love it or not. I got married 6 years ago and I still love my wedding dress. Maybe its because of the dress and how much I loved it when I picked it, maybe because it was a part of one of the happiest days of my life...whatever the case, I can look at it with very happy memories of enjoying how I felt that day wearing it.

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?
Absolutely not. It was what was "in" at the time (long sleeves, lots of beading) and I would get it again in a second. It was exactly what I wanted.

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?
I loved my dress! It was form fitting trumpet gown. It was so simple and the only detail it had was about 1 inch of lace on the top and then 2 scalloped layers on the bottom that was trimmed in lace. I feel you know it is your dress the minute you try it on. I made sure to try on every dress I ripped out of the magazine and every style and this was one that I never even saw and my mom told me to try it on and I thought it was ugly on the hanger. I was so glad I tried it on.
I think the dress you posted it absoutly beautiful. It is non traditional when it comes to the bottom but I think all the detail work makes it tradtional and balances out the dress.

Re: looking back, did any of you girls regret your wedding gown choice?
I loved that dress Jessica
and Shellyesq - that dress you posted is gorgeous
I don't regret my dress at all -- I loved it, but only on my wedding day. I was second guessing myself the months after I bought it, but then loved it when i put it on for my first fitting
it was nothing like i thought i was going to get
