Well I am not a girl but here you go. I have a few co-workers from Great Neck that went to the one in astoria. I heard it was ok. They def all recommend ones in the city though.
Hookah Bars in NY
ETA: That is the Egyptian Coffee House. My friend lives right by it, but he said LaSouc in Manhattan is good.

There is one on Ditmars in Astoria, I can't remember exactly where, but if you turn off 31st (where the NW train ends) and make a left onto ditmars, it is on the right hand side, one or two blocks down.

Le Souk is so cool, but it's in the city. Totally worth the trip! They have belly dancers some nights and a club opens up downstairs at 11 or 12.
