Looking for a decent restaurant in Hicksville
One that isn't insanely priced (in the $20-25 entree range) to take my MIL for her birthday. There are going to be a bunch of us to chip in for so I don't want to make it too crazy.

Honestly, I love Mama Theresa's in Westbury. But I can be a cheap date somtimes.
Fanatico by Walbaums on 106/107 isn't insanely priced either and has better ambiance than Mama T's.

It's in the Staples shopping center across from Bed Bath & Beyond on South Oyster Bay Rd.

It's in the Staples shopping center across from Bed Bath & Beyond on South Oyster Bay Rd.
SECOND! My Italian Grandparents lived in Hicksville and we used to go there all the time...the entire Italian family was happy with the food at this one!! Haven't been in 2 years or so (since Grandpa passed) but it was always delicious! The food is better than the ambiance, ambiance is basically a restaurant attached to a pizza place, but the food is just so good and portions are huge!

FYI- Fanatico and Pastaeria are owned by the same people. It is basically the same menu...
We order from Pastaeria at least once a week...
I love there Rigatoni Theresa-- riagatoni with spich and chicken, sundried tomatoes with mozzerella in a pink sauce
There bar pies are great and there balsamic vinigrette is awesome..
Fanatico is a little more upscale and spacious...
In Plainview- Bistro Cassis and Shishkebob (can't go wrong there and great for big groups).. Both are in the Shoprite shopping center on S. Oysterbay Road.

Yep, I said they were owned by the same people. The Branchnelli family. They actually own Emilio's in Commack too.
My favorite is the Rigatoni Napalitano--homemade rigatoni, fresh mozzarella, basil, in a pink sauce. DH loves their chicken marsala.
