Looking for a graceful reply to everyone on DH side telling you that all of your kids look like each member of their family
I need to prep because I will be with them in one house this weekend & they like to go around how each of my kids looks like their immediate family & if I don't prep I'll probably stand up and scream for them to all shut the f up! happy holidays!
I usually just say oh, I don't see it. They look like their own person but they do not get the hint.

I have had to hear this from them on a regular basis (ILs live 5 min from us) for 3 years!! It would drive anyone crazy.

I get this from my mom... She enjoys picking apart everything about my dd and comparing it to all our family members... Apparently my dh and his family had no hand in creating my dd 
I would try not to let it bother you too much... I would just agree with them whether you believe it or not... People like hearing that someone agrees with them and thinks they are right... It usually boosts their ego and shuts em up

Yup! I get it too! All the time and it irks me to no end! I ALWAYS say "nope! He looks like a Tyler to me". Or one of my other kids! It's just so annoying how they always do this! They been doing it since the moment my kids were born! I can't stand it! Sometimes I'll say "there's a little but of everyone in them"

My ILS do this too and i t drives me crazy. My FIL insists my DD looks like him, or gets this orthat from him. Very annoying. I just ignore him but I am ready to bust inisde.

Omg I hate this! I really do!
I say "yeah.. A little".
My in laws show pictures of my dh at DS age. They ask me who it is (as if I'm going to mistake my son for my husband).
What ticks them off with the pictures is when I say.. Oh.. Wow. I never saw it before, he really has my hair, skin color, etc (be sure it's different each time).

I feel your pain...my MIL..tells everyone that my DS get's his blues eyes from her grandfather!!! I swear I want to scream, she always harps on it, and I don't know why I feel so defensiive...my father and mother's siblings/parents all had blue eyes...so I am quite sure her grandfather has nothing to do with it!
To answer your question, I just cut her off when she says it and say, nope he get's them from my dad...I am hoping that will give her the hint..
Try not to let it bother you!

I get this all the time too....how she has the same hair as me or this personality trait from that person. The best part is that she is adopted and Chinese (we're italian/irish) lol.

My response was not graceful....I told my cousin that I was the one in labor so she could only tell me the baby looks like me or my husband! It got a few laughs. I find that you can say whatever you want as long as you sound like you're kidding. lol

My MIL does this...apparently, not a single thing my DC do or a single feature was inherited from me. Even asinine things that ALL babies do, like chew on their hands, is "Awwww, you chew on your hands just like your Aunt used to"....EVERYTHING. Even my one DC who looks FAR more like me than DH, apparently gets all of those features from DH. All of my DC have very light brown hair, I have dark, and so does DH and his family. She ALWAYS says, where did they get the hair color from, must be some great great great great Aunt or something of hers, when almost all of my immediate Aunts, cousins and sister have the SAME exact hair color and she knows it. Its like she CANNOT admit when something is from my side and has to tie it back to some obscure relative of hers from 1692. Inside, I want to freak out on MIL sometimes but I don't, most of the time, I just don't respond at all.

Both of my boys look like my side - but people see what THEY WANT to see when they look at a child -
None of my ILs really say either LOOKS like so and so, b/c you really can't deny w/ our kids that they look like me - LoL ......but when it has happened I just say "Really? You think? .....I don't see it" .....

I get this ALL the time but usually from friends, not family. My kids look more like my side of the family than DH's, but because they have his dark eyes, people automatically feel the need to comment that the kids are his clones  I honestly don't care but I do admit that I find it strange.
I actually went so far as to post a comparison pic of me as a kid and DS as a kid once but some people didn't get the hint - I think it's a lost cause

I remember this picture! It was amazing how similar you and your DS looked!!
Instead of saying, "Everyone sees something different", I'd say "Everyone sees what they want to see".
And I have said, "Well he has my personality, and that matters more."
