Looking for a local charity

Our twin girls will be baptised next month and we'd like to ask guests to make a donation in lieu of gifts. When our older daughter Ainsley was born we asked for donations to St. Jude's and the Vascular Birthmark foundation (for children with life threatening hemangiomas/vascular anomalies).

ALL charities are worthy, but we are looking for one that is local (preferably in Nassau) and not as well known or supported as something like St. Jude's.

We're not asking our guests to bring toys/toiletries for a shelter or the troops because with the three kids, the stroller and carseats, we wouldnt have any room in our car.

If you happen to know of a shelter or small foundation that you think I should look into, I'd really appreciate it.

Feel free to FM.

Thanks.
