Looking for a new OB affiliated with St. Charles
When I went for my first appointment yesterday I noticed everything has changed at my OBs office and one of the Drs left that delivered my first child. One of the things is they now don't do the sonograms and your appointment on the same day, which is hard for me since I am a SAHM. I also never liked that my hospital didn't have any private rooms 
So please recommend your OB/GYN thats affiliated with St. Charles Hospital.

ETA: If you can please tell me about their practice: how many Drs do you have to see, Are the sonos and your regular appointment on the same day. How long do you usually have to wait in the waiting room, etc? thanks

Dr.Gustavo San Roman  ( who I believe is in the same office as Dr.Brenner  ) ...Love him !
437-3700- Davis Professional Park Pt.Jeff
My sonos and appt.'s are always same day, never waited very long at all, very convenient hours ( up until 10pm on some days)...I book all my scheduled appt's w/ Dr.San Roman, and have seen Dr.Brenner and the 2 other mid-wives only on a last minute type thing ( I had full previa and lots of bleeds etc...) His whole family of brothers are all MD's and his brother Gabriel SanRoman is the main RE at the fertility practice I conceived both DC's at
ETA- large waiting room with seperate enclosed toy area for the kiddies and toys in every room which is a bonus

She's part of my doctor's practice, Dr. Gus San Roman. The staff is FABULOUS and they will do sonograms and your office visits on the same day. They have evening appointments a few days per week if you need that option. Also, Dr. San Roman is very highly regarded at St. Charles. He delivered our DS and if I need another c-section, he will deliver this baby as well. We usually see one of his nurse mid-wives, Michelle Mayer. She is awesome as well.

In addition to what everyone else has added - they also take blood there too. You don't have to go to a lab to have bloodwork done.
My OB is Dr Brenner, I think in the couple of years that I have been going (with a pregnancy and other issues - I had lots of issues) - I have seen Dr Brenner most of those times. I saw Michele Mayer (mid-wife maybe 2 times) and Loriellen (sp?) 2 or 3 times.
One of the times I saw Michele was because my OB had an emergency c-section. The others were because they were emergency appts.
And the only reason I saw them, was because they were emergency appts.

I go to Dr Blaszyck & Dr Arato. They are goth great! Yes, you can have a sono the same day as your appointment. Dr B delivered both my girls. They are in Stony Brook Medical Park on Rte 347

I used/still use Suffolk OB. I had all of my sonos right before my appointment with the Dr.

I love, love, love Suffolk OB/GYN. I've been a patient there for almost 8 years. They are affiliated with St. Charles and SUNY Stony Brook and have offices in Smithtown, Patchogue, Port Jefferson, and Wading River. It's never a problem getting appt. and there are a few really good doctors in the practice HOWEVER, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. John Petraco. He is absolutely amazing. Wonderful bedside manner, takes the time to sit with you and answer your questions and explain things, and he was so kind and so sweet throughout my C-section. I can't say enough good things about him. In fact, I was always someone who went to a woman GYN but after being under his care throughout my pregnancy I switched from one of the woman doctors in the practices to him for my primary GYN. He's great!!

Dr. San Roman was the RE we used at Reproductive Specialists of NY in Stony Brook. We loved him..........I was pregnant 4 months after walking into his office after years of never being able to conceive.

I agree 100%! I have been going to Suffolk OBGYN for over 10 years now and I love them- especially Dr. Petraco, Dr. Lograno, and Dr. Strittmatter (all male doctors). There are tons of docs in the practice and I have liked them all (except one) but I prefer the 3 above. All my sonos are the same day as the appts and they have all been wondeful throughout this pregnancy!

Dr Petraco and Longrano from Suffolk OBGYN are both awesome.
If my appointment is at 3pm its ACTUALLY at 3pm. I am so happy with the way they run there appointment book! They always take me in on time.
My sono was done 15 minutes before my doctor appointment, so this is convenient.
They follow up nicely and take the time out to answer any questions!
