looking for a safe space heater
I have a split with a den that is partially below ground level. It's freezing in the winter and cool in the summer. DH and I want to turn it into a real den for toys. Right now it's my dog's apartment/junk room. It's a pretty big space. Can any recommend a space heater that can heat a big space yet it is child and pet friendly?

Re: looking for a safe space heater
We got a great one rec by alot of posters on parenting. It's a tower heater by Lasko, got at Bed Bath and Beyond. Works great, doesn't get hot to the touch. We have one in DDs room and one in our room, so we don't have to crank our heat. Works great. Highly rec. I have pets and a child also but since it doesn't get hot to the touch, it's great.

We also have a Lasko from BBB. I know they have cleared out all the heating and put out fans early, we are talking early early March. You can probably get on amazon or something though.

We have a Lasko as well - I think DH got it from Lowes or Home Depot. We needed it for DS' room because it was so cold in there.
