Looking for book on death
I am not sure if this is the right lace and I don't want to bring anyone down. I just buried my 52 year old brother yesterday who I have not spoken to, we weren't mad at eachother just wrapped up in our lives, in about 6 months. I never got to say I love you and it is eating me up inside. I wish I could just let him know what is in my heart. Yes I am in therapy. I am looking for a book that will hit upon this. There is a book on sibling loss but I am not sure if it will touch my particular situation. If anyone knows of any please let me know. I have a Kindle.

The Year of Magical Thinking, by Joan Didion really IS incredible... but it's also incredibly devastating. I read it (not in your state of mind) and found it very hard to get through... but it certainly has a uniquely raw and honest perspective on death and grieving. It might be worth trying? I'm really sorry, too.

Re: Looking for book on death
I'm sorry for your loss here are a few books I read that "helped" dealing w/the loss of my brother.....
Have a little Faith / Mitch Albom
For one more day / " "
The Shack / William P. Young
I also found a lot of fiction books where the main character loses someone close to them to be up lifting. It reminded me that even though at that moment I felt that there was no way the world would keep spinning, it was possible to live another day.
Good Luck, if I can remember any of the fiction books I will FM you.

Re: Looking for book on death
When my brother died (I was 23, he was 20) someone gave me a book, but it was like a memorial type book for him, and some journaling in it...
I'll try to find it and post it for you, it was really great
