Looking for feedback from other moms about Commack vs. Kings Park- we are moving
Hi mommies!
I was hoping I could get some opinions from other moms who know the northport/commack/kings park areas.
We are in East Northport now but may be getting an offer on our house soon.
We are on a main road so we are looking to move.
DH grew up in Kings Park and wants to move there. I grew up in Brooklyn and I am leaning towards Commack- just a bigger more diverse feel. I am Jewish and DH is Catholic- we will be raising our children "both"- as best we can.
Any thoughts from other mommies on these areas and the schools? I just don't know too much- I've only lived here five years.......

I would cross post to the Home board too.
I don't know much about Commack but I think Kings Park is really nice and has good schools.

I think both are nice areas and good schools. Commack has higher taxes, generally. The school system is bigger as I believe they reopened the other high school.
Commack falls in both the town of Smithtown and the Town of Huntington so depending on which side of Townline you line on...that is your township.
I don't think you can go wrong in either town but I think you can get more for your money in Kings Park.
