Looking for ideas for anniversary trip

My husband and I moved away from NY two years ago but will be returning for two weeks this summer to visit. During this time, it will be our 3rd anniversary. We are looking to do 1-2 days doing "something" for our anniversary, but are drawing major blanks. Can anyone suggest something for us to do (day trips, overnights...) for our anniversary?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

For our anniversary we spent one weekend in NYC - we stayed at a really nice, modern hotel (The LONDON NYC) in a suite (I actually believe all the rooms are suites) and went to a broadway show and a nice dinner. The rest of the time we spent by having brunch in the city and going to the Top of the Rock in Rockefeller Center. We wanted to stop at a museum too, but decided to just soak in the time.

It was great!

Thanks for the ideas so far. We are definitely going to be in NYC for a night b/c we have a family wedding to attend so you've given me some ideas for that.

I think we have narrowed it down to somewhere out East... just trying to come up with things to do. Ideas are still appreciated!

What about AC or Foxwoods/Mohegan? If you go midweek, you can probably get some good deals.
