Looking for ideas for Elmo/Sesame Street Birthday Party for 2 year old.
Jordan's 2nd birthday is at the end of January and we're doing Elmo/Sesame Street since he's obsessed with them! Just looking for some ideas as I'm sure there are ladies here who had that theme for their kids! Invites, decorations, cakes - anything you can throw at me
Thanks!!!

Re: Looking for ideas for Elmo/Sesame Street Birthday Party for 2 year old.
I did a Dora theme for my DD but....
Got all the decorations at Party City (online). I saw lots of cute Elmo/SS stuff too including cute favors.
Got my invites on Tiny Prints. They had a Dora one. Maybe they have an Elmo one too.
My MIL made an Dora cake- well a regular cake with Dora and Boots toppers. Maybe you can do something similar.
Also got the local party store to inflate metallic Dora balloons.
Anywhere I said Dora, replace with Elmo/SS!

We did an Elmo theme forDD#1's first birthday. I got a banner from Celebrate Express with her name on it. We got balloon bouquets from Party City of different Sesame Street/Elmo balloons. We did a Sesame Street cake from BJs for everyone else and I made an Elmo cake just for her.
I also made Chocolate Elmo Lollipops as the favor.

I did Elmo for DD's 2nd birthday. I kept it simple since we were having the party at a party place that was providing almost everything... she wore a pillow case dress from Etsy with Elmo on it - I'm sure you can find a t-shirt or something for your DS there with Elmo.
I had a delicious Elmo cake made by Lily-Cakes.
And I did the invite myself.
ETA: Very shortly after her party my DD wasn't interested in Elmo anymore.
ETA for pics:

Re: Looking for ideas for Elmo/Sesame Street Birthday Party for 2 year old.
we are doing an Elmo/Sesame Street theme for Joey's bday too.
I designed this invite for him.
These are our thank you cards I designed as well.
I'm ordering a cake from costco but ordered cake toppers from LCcakes Similiar to this:
Ordered these for favors (Elmo for the boys and Abby for the girls): http://www.etsy.com/listing/82006371/sesame-street-birthday-party-favor
I'm also adding Elmo and Abby cookies from The Cookie Lady in the favor bags.
I am making these in different colors because "Elmo loves his crayons" Pretzel Crayons
For decorations I am using Party City's supplies, Sesame Street theme
All the balloons are red, blue, yellow and green.
ETA: I am labeling all the foods with a character's name. I designed these:
I also designed a tee shirt design for DS and had this etsy seller, madecutejust4u make it for me. It came out fabulous.

Re: Looking for ideas for Elmo/Sesame Street Birthday Party for 2 year old.
I threw a Elmo/Abby/Sesame Street 2nd birthday party for DD. We had picture invitations made with Abby on it. A custom made cake with Abby and Elmo on them. Since there wasn't so many kids for favors.... I got a picture of each kid and with a special app on I-Phone/Ipads I added an elmo and grover to each picture and printed them out on regular paper. I bought paper gift bags in Michaels that had an assortment of colors per pack that matched the Sesame Street colors. I took each picture and glued them to a bag. In each bag from the Target $1 section and also party city I placed Sesame Street Cup,Plate,Coloring Book, a Story book, pack of Crayons, Socks, jacket pull string, and a pack of gold fish crackers (to represent Dorothy..LOL). For Decoration I ordered 2-3 Large Mylar Balloons Sesame Street and ordered a Dozen of assorted colors. With Plates I got Plain Red to represent Elmo. And I bought metal tins from Target with Abby on it to hold the forks, Spoons and Knives.

Instead of a candy buffet you can do "Cookie Monster's Cookie Buffet" with different cookies and milk. This etsy vendor has cool decorations and invites: Etsy Link

Re: Looking for ideas for Elmo/Sesame Street Birthday Party for 2 year old.
Thank you guys for all the fabulous ideas and links! Wish I could use some of LIF's fave vendors for things, but I'm down in Florida
I would LOVE to get an Elmo character to come to the party but the last (and only) time Jordan saw a big character, he was beyond terrified - I've never heard him scream like that. That was about a month ago - I wish I had a place to take him to see his reaction with a character. Don't know if he's still scared but I'd hate to book one and spend the money if the birthday boy is terrified, kwim?
I was already planning on doing primary colored balloons along with some SS ones. My friend did a SS theme for her son's first and made these adorable Oscar the Grouch centerpieces that she is going to lend me.

All the vendors I mentioned are on Etsy or ship. I'm in Brooklyn so I rarely use LIF vendors. lol

I made this as a sample and then we went to Party City and Will freaked and wanted Thomas instead. But the cake was easy to make!

Re: Looking for ideas for Elmo/Sesame Street Birthday Party for 2 year old.
we are doing a small family party at the house at the end of January ( 7 kids only) ...
I am doing an Elmo theme, although not going crazy. we are having sandwiches and salads. I am making Elmo cake pops, elmo cupcakes and will have cookies made and likely a cake. Doing a red and white Polka dot elmo theme.
Some ideas include:
-apple and eve Elmo Juice boxes -Elmo foam visors (which I am making) as party hats -Elmo shaped fruit tray -red tissue poms made to look like Elmo
