Re: Looking for recommendations for Bottle Warmers and Baby Thermometers
I got an Exergen Temporal Thermometer when DS was a toddler and it's great. Rub it across his forehead and it's done. It's the same one they use at my ped's office.
When he was an infant I used a basic rectal thermometer. Pretty sure it was a store brand. They said that was the most accurate way -- when he started to move around too much I started with the other one.

We have the Safety 1st Gentle Read Rectal thermometer. It takes a super quick read (4 or 5 seconds) and it has an overinsertion guard so you can't put it in too far and hurt the baby. I can't remember what bottle warmer we have off the top of my head, but I can check tonight and get back to you!

Re: Looking for recommendations for Bottle Warmers and Baby Thermometers
We never used a bottle warmer - just room temp with powder formula - something to think about since you will be making two bottles for each feeding

Re: Looking for recommendations for Bottle Warmers and Baby Thermometers
we love our Exergen Temporal Thermometer, we also have a rectal, but have only used it once. As for a bottle warmer, we dont! We did for the first few weeks they were home from the nicu, because that is what the nicu did. then we realized the girls took room temp fine and it saved soooooo much time n our day. They were not able to take bottles cold for a while. When we did need to warm a bottle we just put 2 mugs of water in the microwave for a min and heated the bottles in the hot water. It was fast easy and free! and also heated 2 at the same time

I use room temp water and powder formula so much easier. It's great for when I'm out and one baby is screwing its head off to drink the bottle is ready within seconds.
Right now I use Vicks rectal thermometer

I love my Dr. Brown's bottle warmer. It's digital, so you just type in how many minutes (they give you a manual which tells you how long) and hit a button. It also has a water container on the side so you do not need to add water each time,.It's great.

Ok I checked. We have the Munchkin bottle warmer. It's great! We've used it for 2.5 years now and have had no issues.

Re: Looking for recommendations for Bottle Warmers and Baby Thermometers
Best thermometer (and I had a LOT of them that sucked) is the VICKS digital rectal thermometer. You need to take an infants temp rectally, and with this one, it's rectal only but it has a flexible tip that you cannot overinsert....so easy to use.

Vicks rectal thermometer- very easy to use and it's designed so that you can't insert too far.
I didn't use a bottle warmer so I'm no help there.
