Spinach and strawberry salad:
1 package fresh spinach
4 cups sliced strawberries
1/2 cup veggie oil
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tbs sesame seeds
1 tbs poppy seeds
I got this recipe from a friend and it's great!

I loveeeeeeeeeeeee this salad. I just made it Saturday night! Yum!

I slice up red onion, throw in some walnuts or almonds, craisins, and feta.
I mix up some kind of vinagerette dressing with red wine vinegar or balsamic and EVOO.

I just made a new one from the Neelys on foodnetwork...
spinach
blue cheese
bacon
spiced walnuts/pecans
shallot and mustard vinagrette
I also added grilled chicken and strawberries

I wound up going with this recipe. I put in some alterations I made....DELICIOUS!!!!!
Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad
Ingredients
1 tablespoon butter (I omit)
3/4 cup almonds, blanched and slivered (I toast at 350 approx 10-15 minutes)
1 pound spinach, rinsed and torn into bite-size pieces
1 cup dried cranberries
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1/2 cup white sugar (I decrease to 1T - 1/4 cup, depending on desired sweetness)
2 teaspoons minced onion
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil (I decreased to 1/8 cup and used Olive Oil)
I added Mandarin oranges (without juice)
I added Feta or goat cheese
Preparation
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Cook and stir almonds in butter until lightly toasted. Remove from heat, and let cool. (I omit butter process and just toast almonds in oven at 350 for approximately 10-15 minutes.)
In a large bowl, combine the spinach with the toasted almonds and cranberries.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, onion, paprika, white wine vinegar, cider vinegar, and vegetable oil (olive oil). Toss with spinach, oranges, cheese just before serving.
