Looking for the words for an Italian children's song

Does anyone have the words (in Italian) for Clap Hands? (Clap hands, clap hands, til daddy comes home)

DH and seem to be disagreeing with some of the wording. Chat Icon

Re: Looking for the words for an Italian children's song

Le mani di battimano Applaudono delle mani Finché il papà viene il Papà di casa ha il denaro e la Mamma ha
nessuno.

That's what I got when I typed:
Clap hands
Clap hands
Till Daddy comes home.
Daddy has money and
Mommy has none.

It's from this translation site

Here is the one we use:
Batta le manine
ahora viene papa
Si prendere confitine
(baby's name) si mangera!

Sounds alot better in Italian.

Clap your hands
Daddy's coming home soon
He's bringing candy
(Baby) is going to eat it.

this is how we sing it to DS too!!! but we say "adesso viene papa" instead of "ahora viene papa" and "mi porta confitine"

After we sing "anthony si mangera" we put his hands to his mouth and say
"yumyumyumyum"
LOL!!
ETA: the melody is different in italian...We dont sing it the same way we would
"clap hands clap hands till daddy comes home"

Re: Looking for the words for an Italian children's song

Thanks again everyone!

Oh and I also found all the words for Giro Giro Tondo...

Giro Giro Tondo
Quanto e bello il mondo.
Cento, cinquanta,
La gallina canta.
Canta da sola,
Non vuole andare a scuola.
Ma la scuola e tanto bella.
Canta canta gallinella!

I only remembered the first two lines when I sang it to DS... Chat Icon
