Looking to plan a trip to Ixtapa/Pacific Coast of Mexico
any suggestions? still debating if I want to do an all-inclusive or not (we are big explorers so may not be at the hotel much, depending)

we are going to puerto vallarta in april, would that be a place you would go? It is on the pacific coast.
we are staying at the riu palace.
