Looks like we'll be waiting even longer to TTC
One of the biggest reasons for waiting has been DH's impending career change. He's in the process of getting into FDNY- and although nothing is definite yet, I'm 99% sure he'll get in.
Originally he was told that it looked like he'll be in the January academy. BUT- he spoke to his investigator yesterday and now it looks like he'll most likely be in July's academy.
I wanted to hold off until this change is made because he's going to be taking a huge pay cut- like 40%- and I want to know how we're going to make do with just us to worry about before we add anyone else to the mix.
It's just not fair- his life is moving forward and I'm stuck at status quo until it's all settled.
I'm getting older- I don't want to wait another year. 
Sorry- just had to vent.

So sorry It will work out. Hubby and I are kinda in the same boat. He is trying to get a teaching job on LI he is a perm sub now and has been for 2 years. The market stinks for him getting a job. But we decided we aren't going to wait any longer I have a great job and the benefits are through me anyway. But it will all work out some how. At least that is what I keep telling myself.

On the up side, atleast he'll have 6 more months on a bigger salary. Do whatever you can to save as much as possible, so you have more money when the baby comes.

Sorry it's looking like you'll have to wait! But the positive side is that NYC has some of the best medical benefits available,which he will be eligible for on day 1.

I am in a similar boat as you. I was suppose to start TTC this month, but nice I got into a car accident and my back is messed up, I have to put it off for a little while. I am bummed as well.
