lost my dad
My dad passed away 11/12. It was a shock to everyone. I've been moving so fast the last 2 weeks that I haven't really been able to grieve yet. DH and I are staying with my mom a few nights a week, as we just closed on a house and are inbetween places. I feel guilty doing projects on the house and I'm worried about my mom. I know it will get easier over time....
Thanks for letting me vent!

I am so sorry for your loss... You don't have to feel guilty for
doing other things. You can still be there for your Mom & do things for you & your DH's new home.
Just don't forget about you, I was in the same boat as you.
While I was bust worrying about my Mom, she was worrying
about me. Be there for each other.

i lost my father 3 years ago suddenly. FM if you ever need to vent/talk more. i'm always worried about my mom and grateful that my sister still lives at home with her, but unfortunately leaves her often as well.
it can be hard balancing your life and making sure mom is ok, but you will figure it out and things will be ok.
unfortunately it really doesn't get easier, grieving wise, but you learn to deal and will figure out what's best for you and your family as you go along.

SO very sorry for your loss I lost my father when I was 19, those weeks following still haunt me 
there is nothing you can do but to keep on keepin' on  You are doing everything you can for your mom, she needs you

it's been a month and i'm gratefull that channuka is almost over. DH's family has invited my mom to xmas this year, so it should be a fun experience....she's very excited for the 7 fish dinner!
