Lovenox Ladies....
I have a question for you. Did your doctor increase the Lovenox Dose as you got further along in your pregnancy? I am currently on a 40 mg injection and I was never told to increase it by my RE or OB but I had to go to the ER a few weeks ago and he mentioned that I was on the lowest theraputic dose and that it should be increased as I gain weight. Is this true? What doseage are you on and how far along are you? I am 18 weeks today and have gained about 20 lbs.

Re: Lovenox Ladies....
I was told to stay on the 40 throughout until the very end of my pregnancy when they will switch me to Heparin. I also take baby asprin daily.

Re: Lovenox Ladies....
You should be getting sonos every 2 weeks and blood work (heparin tolerance test) every month to make sure the baby is growing properly and the blood is flowing properly.
As the baby is growing as it should, my dosage has not increased and I am 30 weeks.

I didn't have sono's twice a month in either of my pregnancies and I went to different practices. I don't think this is standard.

Neither did I. I went to the hematologist once a month for the first three months and then once every two months until about 6 months, and they checked my platelet levels. But I never heard of the tests mentioned above.

strange... I go for sonos every 2 weeks to monitor the placental blood flow and to check for shots...
then once a month I have to get blood taken exactly 4 hours after I take lovenox to make sure it is still effective.
maybe it all depends upon why you're taking the lovenox? I'm taking it for 3 different thrombofilia issues...
I just assumed if you were on lovenox that you saw a perinatologist.

This is what I did. I highly recommend that you see a perinatologist if you are on Lovenox.
