Lovey related question
I started giving Sienna a lovey when we came back from NY-she is four months old. She loves it, but I am often finding that she pulls it on her face to sleep. Naturally, I get concerned and pull it away, but two minutes later, she pulls it back over her face. If I don't have to take it away, I would prefer it, because she falls asleep faster with the lovey.
Does anyone else's child do this? What would you do if you were me?

Re: Lovey related question
I think at this age it's okay... DS used to do the same thing and when he moved in his sleep the lovey would move off his face too. If she keeps pulling it back I think she's fine.

Re: Lovey related question
Oh absolutely. Colin always napped in the swing with a burp cloth on his face. I could pull it off 50x and turn around and he'd have it right back over him. He sleeps in the crib with a lovey and covers his face - I stopped fighting it about Sienna's age.

Re: Lovey related question
i think it's ok too
we started giving sophia "lovies" at about 5 months. she has all different kinds. i usually label it a lovey if she uses it to soothe herself to sleep so it could be a stuffed animal or a true lovey. she'll usually plop it on her face and suck on it. it's never been a problem. if she's uncomfortable (aka cant breath) she moves

Re: Lovey related question
Eddie ALWAYS put his lovey over his face to fall asleep. I would let him and when he was out, go in a remove it from the crib altogether. Once he was around 7 or 8 months old, Id let him do it and just leave him be.
