Low on Iron
I think it may constipated you. Make sure to get plenty of fiber, or use benefiber, and drink plenty of water

Re: Low on Iron
I was told to take it every other day at least initially to hopefully minimize constipation. The midwife also suggested taking it with a food rich in vitamin C like a citrus fruit to help with absorption. Hope that helps!

Yes, I had to take it. My doctor also had me taking a stool softener 1x a day with the iron pill.

I took it. No issues. But extra fiber never hurts :)

Re: Low on Iron
Yes and make sure you take it! I had RARE complication at delivery from being anemic. Make sure the Drs and nurses all know your anemic.

I was told after the glucose test that I was slightly anemic too! I remember I was with my first pregnancy and took an iron pill once a day but it made me constipated which sucked! This time they told me to take it every other day and with a stool softener which helped a lot this time around!

Re: Low on Iron
I had to take it with both pregnancies. I have stomach issues to begin with, it definitely didn't help, but it is important to take so I just suck it up!

Re: Low on Iron
I had to take it with my twin pregnancy and it did give me some issues going to the bathroom. There were actually days I didn't take it and that came back to bite me in the butt when I needed blood transfusions during my csection. Make sure you keep up with it!
