Low Progesterone during early pregnancy

Did anyone have low progesterone levels during early pregnancy??

My prog levels started off great. At my second beta the progesterone was 22.6. Last week it dropped to 14 and this week it dropped to 9.1. My RE is prescribing Endometrin. Of course, now that I am doing research I am freaking myself out.

I had a prog level of 10 from my first beta at 12DPO and my doctor gave me progesterone suppositories to supplement until week 13 or so, when the placenta makes progesterone on its own. I'm at 27 weeks now so apparently they worked. My level never rose about 16 or 17, even with the suppositories though.

My progesterone was 2.6 at 12dpo, and I had already been on suppositories for 10 days. That week, it went up to 4.5 and then 6.5. They raised my dosage to the max at that point (800 mg a day) but did not do any more blood work. I am 12 weeks today, and so far so good! Good luck Chat Icon

I am also on progesterone suppositories because my level was at 11 a week before my beta. I will stay on it for roughly 14 weeks, so I am told.

Re: Low Progesterone during early pregnancy

I didn't find out I had low progesterone until 7 weeks and it was an 8! The dr immediately put me on Crinone suppositories and I was re-tested a week later and it only rose to a 10. I did the suppositories until 12 weeks and I am now 29 weeks and all is well! I am not going to lie it scared the hell out of me and I thought bad things were to come but it all worked out and so far my baby boy is healthy and doing well inside me!

had it with both pregnancies- with my DS it was only a 9.5 at 6 weeks, with this pregnancy it started out fine at first very early on and within less then a week dropped to 10 (by around 4-5 weeks). I took prometrium both times till 10-12 weeks
