Low Sperm Morphology
Hi all! My husband and I are TTC for months. He just recently got his results back from a SA. His sperm count and motility were very good but he has low sperm morphology - 13%. He also had whiteblood cells in his semen.
I was wondering if anyone has been luck y enough to get pregnant without treatment in cases like this? What treatments are there and are they effective? I am really nervous and I am starting to feel I will never get pregnant!!! Losing a lot of hope!
He is going to see a urologist next week.

Re: Low Sperm Morphology
Dh had slightly low morphology and white blood cells in his sperm, Dr. said to take an antioxidant mixture (find in your local GNC) and a one a day vitamin, he no longer has any issues.
Usually, white blood cells are not an issue at all and most sperm have some, antibiotics (z pak) should clear that up with no problem..and if you have an IUI, they wash the sperm and remove it anyway.
There are definitely small changes your DH can do to greatly improve the quality of his sperm, ask your doctor or even google it. Good luck!!

Re: Low Sperm Morphology
I don't remember the percentage but RE told us that DH was borderline low in Morphology but because his sperm count was so high so it sort of balanced it out. We got PG on our 3rd iui most of our IF problem was with me though, I have pcos.

Re: Low Sperm Morphology
My husbands morphology was 11%. We have a beautiful 2 year old boy that was conceived the old fashioned way on our second month of trying. After 6 months of trying for #2 we went to an RE and discovered the low morphology problem. Every doc we spoke to told us that we would probably get pregnant again on our own if we kept trying, it just might take longer than a "normal" couple. I didn't want to take my chances so we did one IUI and then moved to IVF. I am now 5.5 months pregnant with our second child.

Re: Low Sperm Morphology
DH has 1% (yes, ONE percent) morphology. He took FertiliAid and Pycnogenol 2x a day and his morphology went up to 31% !!!! Here's my post with the rest of the numbers there was improvement in his count and motility too.
Our first round of IUI I got a BFN. The second time Dr. B put DH and I on antibiotics and I am now 10 weeks pregnant !!
Good Luck !!
