Low thyroid?
Obgyn called me telling me my thyroid is low (retested from 2 weeks ago and its lower than the first test) and I have thyroid antibodies in my blood. He wants me to go see an endocrinologist. He is starting me on a low dose of synthroid til I can meet with endo.
He said this could be a reason for my exhaustion.
I posted the other day about becoming very jittery and having sort of panic attacks. I have def been depressed as well. Im wondering if these are connected.
I kicking myself for not getting tested before this pregnancy bc I wonder now if i had this issue after DS was born since its been really hard for me to lose weight.
Anyone have any experience? Also whats having the thyroid antibodies in my blood mean?

Re: Low thyroid?
hypothyroid could certainly cause symptoms of feeling tired but typically, jittery feelings would be associated with hyperthyroidism.
I have had hypo since I was 16 - i too have antibodies which is typically the autoimmune version of hypothyroidism - Hashimotos - no difference in treatment. 1 pill everyday during pregnancy and if it is autoimmune, it likely wont go away after pregnancy, you would continue synthroid for life.
Could explain problems with losing weight or easily gaining weight
let me know if you have questions! i've dealt with it for 12 years and 2 pregnancies (both pregnancies reacted VERY differently)
