Maclaren vs City Mini
I can't decide which to buy as a "lightweight" stroller. I have the Uppa and need a lightweight one! Both have a lot of pros and cons. I'm leaning heavily towards the City Mini, but wondering for those who have one, did you regret getting it over the other?? IF so, why? Thanks in advance!

Re: Maclaren vs City Mini
I have no experience with the Maclaren, but I do have the City Mini and I do really like it. I have a Bugaboo Frog as my big stroller.
The upsides are that it folds super easy and flat, it has some great accessories you can buy like the child tray and belly bar, it is pretty light (16lbs), handles well, reclines flat, fits in small spots, the fabric is easy to wash, and the sunshade is huge and very protective.
The downside is the seat-it is on a recline, which not all babies/toddlers like. Some children hate that they cannot sit straight up. I also find the basket underneath to be small and very hard to access.
I would bring DC with you and try both strollers out to see what they like best!

Re: Maclaren vs City Mini
I had/have both... only reason why I said Had is b/c jet blue broke my Maclaren...
IMO I don't consider my City Mini a lightweight stroller... I LOVE LOVE LOVE my City Mini... but I had the maclaren/lightweight stroller to go to places like Disney, or Barbados when I didn't want to lug my City Mini... I used my City Mini as my main stroller... But it doesn't have a strap to just throw on your back...
IMO Two totally different types of strollers, if I was registering all over again I would get both but I don't know if you have something else as a "main Stroller" since you are calling the City Mini a LW Stroller... ya know?
Its also good to have 1 in 1 car and the other in the other car... or in your grand parents car etc...
I always thought... why do people register for 3 types of strollers, and I only got my city mini... but I totally see the reason now for the lighterweight Maclaren.
Does this make sense? ahhaha lol
ETA... I just saw that you have the Uppa as your main one... I think City Mini would be too close to that one... I would go with the Maclaren...

Re: Maclaren vs City Mini
agree with above poster I'm not sure why anyone compares the 2...city mini is a great stroller but not a lightweight...much bigger I just don't think you can compare it to a MaClaren. Love my MaClaren Quest - honestly don't know why I even registered for any other stroller...this is all I need once I stopped using the snap-n-go...my heavier bulky stroller sits unused in our hall closet.
