Macy’s/Bloomies Return Label sticker
I have a few clothing returns for these stores that my DD received for her birthday. I don’t have a gift receipt, but all of the items have the return label sticker on the price tag.
Is this sufficient to make a return? Or will it be a hassle?

No it’s fine. It won’t be a problem. You will just get current selling price.

That return label is SUPPOSED to have the original purchase price coded into it, as they scan it when putting onto the label. So you should NOT be getting current selling price. That is the whole point of the return sticker. Like what Macy's does. If the store isn't doing that, I think it's pretty scummy!

Hmm. Not sure. This makes sense. But I recently I returned some clothes my son received for his birthday but I didn’t have the gift receipt (I had for some and not others) and that is what the associate told me. I still returned it, but have no idea what the original price was. Also then why would anyone need gift receipts anymore then?

Those stickers replace the need for a receipt. You will get back what the buyer paid for it, doesn’t matter if you bought it or it was a gift, etc. I’ve done this quite literally at least 100 times lol.

This is true. These labels take the place of a receipt. If you have NO receipt and no return label on the item then you get the current sell price. This label will have the price paid coded into it- just like a gift receipt would

This is correct - I don't even keep Macy's receipts anymore because I know I don't need them to make a return
