If he was really tortured, he would assist the government in the investigation. I hope they look closely at the wife - she must have accounts tucked away somewhere. As someone who steered people to invest with her husband, has an office there and who was always by her husband's side, I doubt she had no clue as to what was going on.

good... and please ---he must have millions tucked away in off-shore accounts, too! he deserves the 150 years beause he didn't even disclose where some additional money might be to maybe reduce his sentence or at least show some remorse.

The jailed Madoff already has taken a severe financial hit: Last week, a judge issued a preliminary $171 billion forfeiture order stripping Madoff of all his personal property, including real estate, investments, and $80 million in assets Ruth Madoff had claimed were hers. The order left her with $2.5 million.

I can't get past thr 171 Billion Dollars this douche had! UNFORGIVABLE in itself and he should rot for 200 years! I wish he lived in Henry the VIII 's time and had his head on a stick for all to see for years and years!

They stripped him of $171 billion?? First of all how do you even know you have $171 billion I usually stop counting after I hit $5billion. She still has $2.5 million left over?!?!?!?!  I think we should start a collection for her.

He doesn't actually have $171 billion dollars, it's the number they estimate was stolen from the fraud scheme over the years.
