major sleep issues

my fabulous sleeper is not even a sleeper anymore....he has been waking between 8- 10 times a night. Last night, it was every 20 -40 minutes. We gave tylenol, orajel, checked diaper, temp was ok. He does have a cold, but he is propped up, and the humidifer is on.

we are really, really tired. any suggestions? Chat Icon

ETA-when he wakes up, we give him the pacifer and he goes right back--but last night, only 20-40 minutes later he was up...

Pacifier? My DD didn't take one at night until recently - I think it helps her with teething.

Re: major sleep issues

My DD is going through major teething right now.
Sounds like it may be teething for your little one as well. These night wakenings happen every few nights or so. Every time the pacifier falls out of her mouth when she falls asleep she wakes up crying, because its the only thing that comforts her. Tylonel and orajel does nothing for her. The only thing that relieves her pain at night was Motrin. Good Luck!

Oh, I didn't realize. I hope teeth come really soon. I can't stand this teething thing. I don't sleep as well as DD.Chat Icon
