Making a good thing come out of a bad situation.(Update)

Yesterday Hailey fell while going for a walk and split her lip open. This morning when she woke up it looked almost infected. DH thinks its from the binky all night. So DH took her to the doctor just to check it out. He said it looks normal, will take about a week to heal, no sun, blah blah blah. But he also said no binky for a week!!! So if I HAVE to do it for a week, obviously no reason to go back. Please give me strength to stay strong for this week or however long it takes for her to forget about it. She just turned 3 so I know its time anyway.

---Its 9:32 and she is still screaming DH just went to lay with her and watch tv for a bit. This is just as hard as I expected it to be. I want to cry....---

We had a similar situation with my son. He fell and split his fingernail right down the middle...owwww!!! Fortunately and unfortunately, it was one of the 2 fingers he sucks on in leiu of a binky.....

Not a pretty sight for a few nights.....this kid was up ALLLLLLL night the first night, I'm not gonna lie.....and I'll also tell you that his sleeping has never been the same. He's now up at the crack of dawn and wants out of his crib where he used to suck on his 2 fingers for about an hour and be content.

I hope it's not as rough for ou, but either way, you will get through it and you will help your DD break the binky.....
