Making Changes! Need support!

Hello! I haven't posted on the fitness board in a long time. I stopped exercising because of time. I commute over 2 hours each way to work and work full time. I recently had a baby girl who is now 6 months old. It is now time for me to get back into shape! I want to get my muscle back and lose about 5-10 lbs.

I am going to start eating the way I used to. And even though I have sever tendonitis in my wrists, I am going to get some exercise in. Even if it is mainly cardio. YUCK! (I was an avid weightlifter pre-baby, not a big cardio person)

I cut my hair really short this weekend so that will give me extra time in the mornings. Alexandra now sleeps through the night too, which will make it easier for me to get out of bed at 5:00 to do cardio and some weights before I shower.

So far so good. Today I had oatmeal, greek yogurt, a kashi granola bar and now a salad with lots of grilled chicken and apples with olive oil. I am traveling for work tonight so I can workout at the hotel tonight and tomorrow morning.

So, wish me luck!! I will need it!!

Welcome! Sounds like you are off to a great start. It is hard to make the time to exercise at first but if you keep doing it, it will just become part of your routine. It sounds like you were healthy before, so I bet it will all come right back to you!
Congrats on your daughter! She is gorgeous Chat Icon

Re: Making Changes! Need support!

Thanks everyone! I did cardio at the hotel like I planned and some leg exercises. I wish my wrists didn't hurt so much!

I am traveling again next week, so that will get me some gym time again! YAY!

I will do cardio today if I get a chance but I doubt it. I can maybe do some shoulder presses, but they may be too hard on my writs! Chat Icon

Can you wear any type of wrist brace or support?

Re: Making Changes! Need support!

I am wearing a brace and going to physical therapy. I have tendonitis where the thumb meets the wrist. I just hope it gets better so I can get into a workout routine again.

Doing good so far. I have been training in my basement. I wear my braces when I workout to keep my thumbs in line. Yay!! It feels good to get back into it.

When the naby is a little older I will take her to the gym. She can stay at the daycare.
