Making chocolate lollipops
Hi, I'm making chocolate lollipops for a baby shower- sailboat and whale themed. Where do you buy your molds and sticks and chocolate? A candy making store local, online or Michael's? TIA

Re: Making chocolate lollipops
if you are doing a small amount, then I would suggest Michaels / Ac Moore.
If I know I will be doing a lot then i buy the chocolate in bulk from an online seller I use.
for a shower though, I think you'd be good with the local craft shop. and you can usually print coupons from Michaels website to use in the store.

Re: Making chocolate lollipops
I always get my molds and chocolate at a local chocolate shop in Famingdale, NY. Whenever I go to Michaels or AC Moore they never seem to have a great selection of molds.

Re: Making chocolate lollipops
There's also a chocolate store on Jericho Tpke in New Hyde Park between Lakeville Rd. and New Hyde Park Rd.
Michael's is usually a bit overpriced IMO.
Good luck !!

Re: Making chocolate lollipops
I always go to the Chocolate Duck on Main Street in Farmingdale.
They have a wonderful selection of molds and supplies and chocolate.

Re: Making chocolate lollipops
Thanks ladies, I was thinking Michaels, but wasn't sure if it was too pricey. I'll check out all the above.

Re: Making chocolate lollipops
As a previous chocolate store owner in Suffolk County for many years, I recommend either the Chocolate Duck or Grandmas. NOT Michaels. The specialty shops will be less $$ and much more knowledgeable!
