Sometimes 'staying together for the kid' makes the kid miserable cuz mommy and daddy are miserable.

"the glue that holds the two of them together". thats a terrible burden to put on his little shoulders. if theyre not in love any more, end it. its better they should be apart and be happy than be together and miserable for the "sake of their son". its only going to wind up being the hardest on him.
